What is Eco-Therapy? Eco-therapy is nature therapy

The core of eco-therapy:

Connection with the earth and its systems are at the core of ecotherapy. Many clinicians who practice ecotherapy believe that the earth has a self-righting capacity that operates through complex systems of integrated balance and that if people can harmonize with these systems, they may experience improved mental health. Personal well-being and planetary well-being, as proposed in many tenets of ecotherapy, are not separate from each other. People’s lives are therefore seen as part of a greater system of interaction.

How you can incorporate eco-therapy into your life:

Nature meditation - Take a walk around your block and notice the trees, grass, flowers, animals, and if you can hear birds chirping (my favorite part is walking by the ocean and listening to the waves. I also love seeing all the dogs!). Start to get curious about the aspects of nature that relate to you and what you can learn from it. Take in the colors, breeze, and simply say thank you for all of the beauty that is available to you. You are abundant

Photos of my eco-therapy in practice. I have noticed being out in nature has helped regulate my nervous system. I often will take my shoes off and ground into the earth. This helps to release toxins and connect with the earth’s frequency.
